Small puddle around sprinkler head after being on for a minute.

Hello,

First time poster and novice at sprinkler systems.

I followed tutorials to get my sprinkler system ready for spring. Got it all turned on and 6 zones tested. Everything has great pressure and sprinklers all popped out just fine except for one. The one sprinkler head in zone 6 was having issues spraying out and creating a little inch or 2 small puddle around sprinkler head.

I dug out the pop up sprinkler and noticed no matter how much water I scooped out it seemed the pipe where I screw the pop up sprinkler keeps filling up my hole with a small amount of water. I'm not sure if this normal, but anyway I screwed the new pop-up sprinkler in and the sprinkler works great, but that hole still seems to fill up with water.....am I just a noob and that's normal or do I need to be looking at something else like the pipe fitting where I screw the sprinkler into?

I will mention the next morning the hole was dry again, which makes me wonder if there is an actual leak going on or something else?

I'm going to post the pictures here once I get back home.

I'm looking forward to the pictures. Maybe even a video. www.tinypic.com Upload your pic, then cut n paste the "forum" code to your post.
You could try this. Dig it back up and cap it off. See if it fills up with water. If it does there's obviously a problem you need to trace.
