low flow emitters

I’ve got about 12 low flow emitters in my yard to water some potted plants. All work off the same sprinkler valve. After I adjust for the correct amount of flow for each emitter, the flow diminishes after a few days and then there is virtually no flow. To get everything working again I need to remove the caps, manually open the water valve and let air out of the system. Once water is flowing again I can adjust the flow rates again. This “air in the system” issue seems to be never ending. How do I prevent this?
As it stands now, when I go away on vacation, my plants are dead when I return home.

What you've described is fairly common with the adjustable emitters.
Try using these.
They have them at the Home Depot. Note the different colors have different gallons per hour.
