What Lawn Genie model is my Anti-siphon valve, circa 1995, and what diaphram does it need?

<img src="View My Video" wcf_src="[url='http://tinypic.com/r/esvi4m/9']View My Video" alt="wysiwyg image" /> Hi: Valve has been spraying water from the bonnet seam. Home Dept wants me to disassemble before I buy parts which means I have to ruin any chance of even momentarily turning on the water. I think not. Anyone can tell me tonight so I can have Easter with water service.

FYI I don't need a functional sprinkler right now I just need a water tight sprinkler and I'd rather not dig up the yard and cut the valve out of the ground.

You have what pros know as an Irritrol "jar top" antisyphon valve. The Irritrol model numbers are 2711DPR for the 3/4-inch size and 2713DPR for the 1-inch size. The replaceable part that might stop the leaking is the diaphragm assembly.

Note that different brand names can be on these valves and replacement parts. Toro owns the Lawn Genie and Irritrol brands. As for what to buy, I will quote a Toro representative on the Home Depot website.

Quoted

Both the Lawn Genie model L13100 replacement diaphragm and the Toro model 53804 will work for all Toro and Lawn Genie brand “jar-top” style valves.

Home Depot doesn't sell either. It's internet only. :(

The diaphragm just needed cleaning. Cleaned it and added some silicone grease which stopped the bonnet drip but there is still running water cascading down the shaft and the metal screw is ruined so guess that means I have to cap it. But finallly got the ham in the oven (easy crowd).

Fear not. The internet can provide. The pro name and part number is Irritrol 100236 - if you want an entire replacement valve, no problems
