Replacing FEBCO 765

I messed up my daughters FBV valve threads while trying to replace the bonnet. I bought a new assembly but the ball valves face in the wrong direction. If I install it as it is, the valves will be against the wall and may be hard get to since there won't be enough room. I was thinking about installing 2-22.5" elbows in each incoming and out going pipe to get some offset. Any other suggestions? The guys at FEBCO suggested I take out the valves and re-thread them.

You can usuall tighten the valves 180 degrees to get you on the other side of the pipe.
They are made with a little play

You should not have to take the valves off or loosen them.

Get nice wrench.

You can do it.
