90 degree bends in micro irrigation

Hi there,

I'm currently setting up a micro irrigation spray system. I'm just about to run the 19mm polypipe through the zone. There are a number of 90 degree bends in the zone (as the garden bed is an L shape box.

I'm wondering if I should use gentle sweep curves without cutting the poly pipe or if I should cut it and use 90 degree elbows.

Is one option better than the other. I'm thinking I may lose pressure with the elbows.

Elbows won't cost you pressure beyond something close to five feet of straight tubing (fittings always have an equivalence to a short distance of straight pipe)
