Rainbird Maxi-Paw - can I take it apart and fix specific parts?

This is a two-part question, no pun intended. I have a maxi-paw that has a broken part whose name I can't tell you because it's not called out on the maxi-paw parts diagram (http://www.rainbird.com/documents/parts/part_LG3-AG5-linked.pdf). It looks like an arm with two weights in it and it has broken off. So, the rotor spins to the trip clockwise but the trip will not send it back in the other direction. I do happen to have another maxi-paw with a good such arm. I'm curious whether a) I can destruct the maxi-paw to service that part b) can I buy such parts. I'm not sure if the unused max-paw I have even works... obviously I could just try to swap it out first. But where's the fun in that?

No fun for plastic assemblies - they are now welded together with ultrasonic energy
