Electric Wiring runing along pipes in back yard

I have two wires running along the sprinkler pipes in my back yard. I am digging an area to put in a patio and busted the two pvc pips using a pickaxe. I have replaced the pvc's and noticed I also cut one of the wires in half. Do I need to be cautious or do anything besides splicing the wire and connect with more copper wire and cover?

Thank you.
