Question about water pressure

It looks like my irrigation valves do not have manual valve flow adjustments... there's no knob for it. When I use the bleed valve I get plenty of pressure, my sprinklers popup and throw the correct distance. But when I turn the sprinklers on via the solenoid/timer, I get relatively low pressure.

Is this normal? Is there a suggestion to help increase the pressure w/o a valve flow control?
