What Type of Pipe to Install to the RPZ

I've heard that PVC degrades when it's outside in direct sunlight, but everywhere I go, I see PVC for the RPZ?

What would be the best material to connect to the RPZ that is exposed outside?

Thanks!

depending how sunny it is, it will still last decades - it doesn't dissolve, but it gets more brittle

feel free to paint the pipe, or stay all copper above grade

type L copper, from the point of connection, through the backflow, and back down to below grade
