Help with Febco 765 sporadic leaking

Hi All,

Recently purchased a house and we have a sporadically leaking febco 765. Here is what happens.

Nothing is leaking normally. After I use my hose for a long period of time(filling up kids pool) my well pump will kick on.. once that happens it begins leaking under the bell. Shut off the well pump it of course stops. I then turn off my hose, open up the bell, pull out the little popper and all the seals look fine, put it back together, turn on the well pump.. then it seals fine. I have to take it apart for some reason and put it back together to make it stop. Is this a pressure thing maybe?

All seals look good. Parts look good and clean. I am not sure if it happens when other things are on(sprinkler system, etc.) as I havent had a chance to observe then.

Any thoughts?

Find out what the pressure switch settings are. You may have to adjust the setting range upwards to keep enough pressure on the PVB
