I'm going to place some of my perimeter rotors on scd 40 PVC standpipes attached to my 42" high 4x4 wooden fence posts.
I was going to use Rainbird 5000 rotors; however I also see a small impulse model, the Maxi-Bird, that would work.

My thought is that the rotors would overwinter OK, but I'd probably want to unscrew the impulse heads and take them inside.

Anyone have any thoughts? []

I even bring my brass heads in and plug the lines [] . . .
and the MaxiBirds look like plastic.

Anyway, I've had advice to go with the rotors which was my original plan.
