locating pipes without digging

Does anyone know how I might be able to locate where a pipe is going
without digging, I found another pipe for another zone while installing a controller on my system, and put pressure and water to that pipe and get nothing coming out of the ground anywhere, the pump does not even kick on.

Dont feel like digging for it but if i habe to i will just trying to find an easier way if there is one.

could be an old pipe if the house has had a previous system no longer in use.

You could always run a fish tape down the pipe and listen near the ground to try and listen to see where it goes.
