question on Hunter SRV and PGV

A contractor is planning to install the SRV to my home's irrigation. Is SRV a good quality valve? How much PGV is better than the SRV? Are there alot of diffs between SRV and PGV?

Thank you

It would depend on the requirements of your irrigation system as to what valve I would recommend. The main difference is color of the valve and the filtering mechanics of the diaphram. Nearly all of the other parts are identical. If we are talking about the 1" SRV and the 1" PGV, that is.
