hunter src 600i controller

i have an src600i controller that is acting up. I can control it manually, but if i try to program any of the settings the screen just shows the current year and just flashes. It will not accept any of the commands. Is it time for a new one? the manufacture date is sep98.thanks in advance.

Try this first:

Unplug the controller...disconnect the battery.....let it sit for 15 minutes...then plug it in and put the battery back on....in this exact order...

If that doesn't work....time for a new one!
