I would like to install my own sprinkler system in order to save some money but I need some help. I have heard that pulling pipe is a good way to go but I was wondering if a puller would work in our heavy clay Houston soils. Also, would I be better off renting a trencher/puller or hiring a company to do it for me? Does anybody know of an irrigation professional in Houston that can help me with the trenching or pulling only? How much would that really save me?
Do they have pipe pullers down there? Many use it up in the north here with poly pipe because it can generally be curved instead of using elbows like on pvc. Check the sprinkler contractor's forum at the bottom of this page....there is one right in the Houston area right for you!
Well, I called the local people that are on this forum and they were supposed to come by last Thursday and give me a quote. They no-showed and never called to re-schedule. Does anybody know of anyone in Houston that can at least show up to give a bid?
