Old House Replace Controller

Hi guys thanks for stopping by and give me a hand if possible.

Well i bought this house and have what i think is a mechanical timer that i want to replace for a digital one if possible for one i can control with my phone like rachio second generation or something like that, i wish i can add some pics but dont know how, let me know if its possible.

Not a practical idea, unfortunately. You have an indexing valve and a controller which directly applies power to a pump. An indexing valve must run an entire cycle in sequence.

To move to conventional control, the indexing valve has to be replaced with conventional zone valves, and a pump control relay has to be added as the interface between controller and pump.

Your question becomes whether the hundreds of dollars of materials, plus the labor to install them, are worth the result.
