Correct pipe and pump size

I have a 2hp pump with a 2" intake and 1.5" outflow. I have approx. 2,000 feet of 2" pipe laying around and would like to use it for my sprinkler project. If I were to run 2" line from the 1.5" outflow of the pump as the main water line until I need to downsize the pipe near the rotary heads, would the pressure be effected ? I would be pumping 1.5 into a 2" and then stepping it down to 1.25 and 1" line. Any thoughts?

Larger pipes mean less friction loss due to lower velocity. I would probably downsize from the mainline to the laterals, but I don't think you would need to if you have the larger pipe just laying around. Connecting the heads to 2" pipe might be an adventure....
FYI, I'm no expert I just have some knowledge of fluid dynamics :)
