Only 1 Zone out of 5 is watering

Hi Forum,

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. We have an older Rainbird E-9i model controller. The issue is simple, only 1 out of the 5 zones waters. Whats even stranger is that when I do a manual test, no matter which zone I choose, it activates that one zone (zone 2) that works. So when we go through the auto water schedule, the one working zone gets watered 5 times in a row. It worked fine before....

I have no clue where to even begin to troubleshoot. Thanks for any help.

First of all you need to determine if the controller's ok. Turn on any valve but number 2. Let's say number 3. You turn on 3 and zone 2 runs. Now disconnect the wire from the number 3 terminal, did zone 2 stop watering?

If not your timer's shot.

If so the wiring's messed up. Redo all the connections at the valves. Make sure they're hooked up correctly.
