Intermatic T8845PV timer stuck

I have an Intermatic T8845PV timer. The timer rotates fine, it trips "on" for the first zone fine, then it gets stuck and the zone stays on forever. I've manually rotated it so it shuts off but it's like the motor doesn't have enough torque to push it over the little metal pin. Anyone??

Sight unseen, there might be something physically worn in the tripping mechanism. Replacement is the only practical recommendation. Fortunately, there are a lot of these type of controllers to be had on auction sites like eBay. Sight unseen again, you do not replace these with a cheaper sprinkler controller, since these are mechanisms designed to be able to output line voltage to operate a pump that feeds an indexing valve.
