Sprinkler zones cut off prematurely

All sprinkler zones (nelson ez pro8300) run for about 4 minutes then shut off even when in manual position. I check resistance for all six zones and it is in proper range around 28-30. Voltage on transformer is 26. Voltage on all of zones is 23.8. Any suggestions.

Is this system on city water?

No. I use an above ground pump that pumps water out of a lake.

One more thing. I checked the voltage on the relay switch to the pump and is shows 23.6-23.8 volts when zone is running. Thanks.

What is the zone programming? You do understand that you can't turn a zone on manually and expect it to stay on indefinitely. They always count down and shut off.

Zone cuts off prematurely

Yes, I do realize that zones cut on manually eventually will cut off. Short of it is, I have six zones that water my yard. When I realized the zones were cutting off shortly after they were programmed to come on I decided I should cut on each of the zones manually for 10 minutes to see if they would each work for the entire 10 minutes. They did not. Each zone cut off after being on for between 3 and 4 minutes. That is when I checked the voltage of each zone while it was running and then disconnected the common wire from the controller and checked the resistance of the each zone. Has me confused. Thanks.

Is it possible you have your water budget% set down low?

Sprinklers cutting off prematurely

Good question! I double checked and it is set on 100%. Has me scratching
my head. Thanks for being willing to offer suggestions. Makes me wonder
if a lightning surge has caused some damage to the controller, but,
question that due to the fact that each zone will come on even if it is
only for a few minutes.

So you turn on a zone. What is the controller display showing when a zone runs, then shuts down?

I'd reset the controller and reprogram. See if that cures it.
