Sprinklers seem to be staying on longer than programmed.

I have a Rainbird ESP hooked up to three zones controllers by Irritrol 205s valves. Using this site I fixed my one zone that wouldn't shut off by rebuilding a valve. My current problem is all my zones eventually go off, however, lets say I'll have all three of my zones timed for lets say 8 minutes, an hour later the third zone will just be half way through it's cycle.

The Rainbird ESP controller keeps the date and time properly, the timers just seems super slow. I've even confirmed the water budget % is at 100 so each zone would stay on for the full 8 minutes, but they still go super long. Since I have no leaks (that I know of), and they eventually turn off the only culprit I can think of is the controller. Anyone face any similar situations?

Have you tried unplugging the controller with the sprinklers stuck on?

I'm thinking maybe the valve is having a hard time shutting off. Turning down the flow control might fix you up.

With the valve on, turn the flow control clockwise until it impedes the flow of water then back it off 3/4 of a turn.

It could be the diaphragms are getting old.
