Rainbird SST 1200

Just replaced an old controller/timer with a Rainbird SST 1200. Didn't bother to check if compatible with current system (hope so!). It's an 11 valve system with three common (white) wires requiring hook up, but there only two common terminals to hook into in the SST 1200. Can I put two of the common wires together into one of the common terminals. This is how the old system was wired.

If the wires don't fit into the terminal, hook them up together with a third wire outside the terminal and hook up the single wire.
