Side strip rotary nozzle

Im designing an irrigation system a f curiois about putting in two of the rainbird rvan side strip rotsry nozzles instead of eight of the 8 ft rvan rotary nozzles. Does anyone have any experience using those rvan rotary nozzles in the side strip pattern? I wish i could find some videos of the spray pattern.

Cover valve box with grass?

I had an irrigation company come to the house to give me a quote and i mentioned i didnt want valves throughout the yard, as he suggested. I want one central valve box area. He said the valve boxes throughout the yard can be covered with dirt and grass...? After he left i goggled it and found no examples of that being done and alsk noticed every valve box cover has at least one hole in it. Wouldnt that mean dirt and other stuff would get in the valve box if it was covered in dirt and grass? Woul...

blu lock adapter for non hydro rain valves?

Can someone help me find the adapter I need to connect a 1" blu lock pipe to a 1" control valve that isnt hydro rain?

DIY'er about to go for it! under $600

Ok, got it. I'll install a pvb. Do i need a special freeze resistant type? I live in columbus ohio where it does get cold in the winter. What about pipe? Am I fine with 3/4 inch blue lock pipe or should I go for 1 inch? Rotors and sprayers - Rainbird or hunter?

DIY'er about to go for it! under $600

My family just mved into a newly built house a few months ago. We just had our final grade completed and waiting for top soil (building code here in Sunbury OH) and finally sod. I have always wanted an irrigation system but dont have the money to have a pro do it. Ive done a lot of research and man there are a lot of things to know!
