Action Machine MS series of threaded fittings all leak

I've had good success (as a homeowner, so limited experience) with pipe thread sealant (dope) on most threaded connections, including PVC. I use the teflon type thread sealant. This is a good video that helps explain why to use thread sealant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prsgzY7aypE Here's the type I've used. https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.pro-d…1000421131.html

Lawn booster installation

Maybe install a check valve in line with the house to prevent pulling water out of the house. If you have a gas water heater, you would need an expansion tank (somewhere for the expanding water to go as it's heated).

Wifi smart controller with one touch to run several zones in a row

My Bluespray controller takes 3 steps to do this after logging in. Click on the "Water Now" button, select the program (one that you would have preset for the 3 zones, 2 mins each) and click OK.

76 zone controller with iPhone app needed

How about 64 zones? The new Bluespray controller apparently will be expandable to 64 zones with expansion modules. https://www.bluespray.net/forums/index.php?topic=149.0 https://www.bluespray.net/forums/index.php?topic=149.0 Looks like the 24 zone contoller is $300 http://www.sprinklerwarehouse.com/Blue-Spray-Controller-s/10254.htm http://www.sprinklerwarehouse.com/Blue-Spray-Controller-s/10254.htm Each 24-zone expansion is $170 http://www.sprinklerwarehouse.com/Blue-Spray-24-zone-add-on-p/bsexp...

Can Any Controller Do This?

I'm very happy with my Bluespray controller. It has unlimited programs and start times. This was missing from most other controllers when I was looking for a new one. http://www.sprinklerwarehouse.com/Blue-Spray-Controller-s/10254.htm I recently did exactly the same thing when I reseeded my lawn. I just created 4 new programs and ran each lawn zone for 4-minutes. Worked great.

RainBird E-6 Loses Memory

It may have a rechargeable battery of some sort (such as rechargeable lithium). Look for a coin cell. I may be a solder tab style thats soldered in place. As for something to allow the unit ride out a power failure, you could use a computer type UPS. Size would depend on how long you want to back it up during a power failure.

Missing posts

Thanks for the note Wet Boots. It was my response that may have come across as an ad. I recommended the Bluespray based on my own experience. I'm in no way associated with them. I had a hard time finding a WiFi based controller with unlimited programs and run times until I came across this one. I paid full price and then some as I had to ship it in from the US (free trade is far from free). I believe in sharing with others if I have a good experience with a product, especially if it's from a sma...

Missing posts

I noticed that some posts are missing. One person was looking for a sub $200 WiFi controller. I suggested the BlueSpray. I see that post is gone now (was in the Controllers section). There was another one I responded to. It's gone to. Are there some posting rules that I'm unaware of? Thanks.

BlueSpray controller review

Update on my Bluespray. I'm still happy with it. It's been reliable and easy to use. No lock-ups or glitches of any type. It was great this year blowing out my system at the end of season. I was able to stand in the back yard with my iPad and go through the zones. No more running back and forth from the basement to increment each zone. I would recommend it.

BlueSpray controller review

I was looking for a new controller to replace my 2 older Nelson controllers. I was finding it hard to juggle start times between 2 controllers to avoid overlapping programs, and the limitation to 3 programs was an issue so I decided it was time for a change. I wanted a controller with at least 8 programs, but most of the ones I looked at were limited to 3 to 6 maximum. I wanted a controller with at least 16 zones, but more would be better for future expansion. I also wanted a controller with som...

Controller recomendation, 16 zones, 6 programs

I took the leap and ordered the BlueSpray, 24-zone model. Unfortunately, Sprinkler Warehouse won't ship to Canada (even on my own company UPS account). This is a great forum so i wanted to pass the business on to them. I'll report back on my experience.

Controller recomendation, 16 zones, 6 programs

Thanks for suggesting BlueSpray. It looks interesting. I also saw IrrigationCaddy IC-W1 WiFi controller. It has 5 programs and up to 43 zones. Here are my thoughts on each. I think I'm leaning to the BlueSpray. IrrigationCaddy IC-W1 -Good: Expandable to 43 zones -OK: has 5 programs. This is an absolute minimum for me. I will have to compromise a bit. -Poor: Exposed connections. I prefer enclosed. -Good. Has a display. May not need it, but nice to have. -Good: Cloud service. I assume it's free???...

Controller recomendation, 16 zones, 6 programs

Thanks for the reply Wet_Boots. I appreciate it. I'm presently using 2 separate controllers and achieving my multi-function functionality. Update: I may be able to get away with 12 zones (but prefer 16). Do I REALLY need 6 programs? Probably not, but I need at least 4, preferably 5. I'm on a deep well, and don't like to do all my watering on the same day. I split my 2 lawn zones programmed across different days. I have a vegetable garden that I use a zone programmed for daily watering. I have a ...
