Rainbird Controller 600out problem

Turn the dial to the numbered station then press the "one time" button. You have to do that for every station. 1-2-3-4-5-6 etc. If that doesn't work then press the reset button under the bottom cover then reprogram.

Help me identify this old sprinkler valve

The 205 can be tricky to rebuild. You need to be very careful to line the screw holes up correctly. It's easy to pinch that nipple on the bottom of the bonnet and it's ruined. I taught myself a trick on how to do it. I assemble everything in my hand first. Bonnet, spring and diaphragm. Squeeze the diaphragm against the bonnet which depresses the spring. Then put the screws in with three threads poking through. Pull them so the diaphragm's tight against the bonnet. Then CAREFULLY line up the scre...

Sprinkler Repair Blew off Hours Later???

You should use a new piece of pipe. Also use primer and glue. Hold the pipe in place for a few second after twisting it. Make sure it's all the way into the fitting. Make sure the old pipe is clean. Get any calcium deposits or mold off of there. I use fine grit emery cloth. Or you can just scrape it with a knife. If any water mixed with your glue you'll have a weak spot. It shouldn't have to dry that long. Right on the can it says it'll be completely set in 20 minutes. Maybe you have high water ...

Toro vision2 plus 12 station controller

Call these guys. If anybody knows, they do. Ask for the service department. I think? I don't remember. But there was a separate repair shop. It's Toro headquarters in Riverside, Ca. I had them make me a battery pack last year. (951) 688-9221

Replacement Nightmare - Kindly Please Help

You've obviously done something wrong. I'd make suggestions but I don't wanna. Some timers turn off the valves too.

Help me identify this old sprinkler valve

That's a 205. You can just buy a new valve and swap out all the parts or just buy the diaphragm.

Replacement Nightmare - Kindly Please Help

Did you turn the water back on? I had an emergency call on Thanksgiving one time. They guy had just repaired a pipe and had no water. I walked up to the valve. Turn turn. Ok, I'm done. Seen it a few times. --- Ok I read your post again. You're saying you have no power? Did you check the outlet where the timer's plugged in? Does the controller need to be reset? Did you use a staple gun to tack the wire? I've put the staple through the bundle of wire without knowing it then that shorted out the ti...

Spray heads won't pop up

If you've ruled every thing else out then I'd make them all MP's. That's how it should be anyway.

Spray heads won't pop up

Yep, I'm talking about the sprinklers you're saying don't pop up. The MP Rotator will fit on Rainbird 1800 series as well as the Hunter Pro Spray. If the 1800's are SAM's or Seal-O-Matic, the spring is much stronger. I had to swap out four springs just yesterday because they wouldn't pop up all the way on brand new 1800 SAM's. If the pop ups are Pro Sprays then don't worry about the spring.

Locating buried poly pipe for leak

Try listening at the valves. Can you hear the leak there? Sometimes I'll use a tube to listen to the valves. Similar to listening to a car engine compartment to find the source of a sound. If you hear a valve leaking, turn the flow control off and see if the sound changes or stops. If you can't find a leaky valve then keep looking. I've seen people put their garden hose into a gopher hole and forget they've done it. Or just leave the hose on. One guys hose was on for 6 weeks. I'm not going to be...

Spray heads won't pop up

Could be the seals are bad. Could be the springs in the sprinklers are too strong. Are the sprinklers SAMS? Could be the valve isn't coming on all the way. Open the bleeder screw and see if they come on stronger. Could be a leak in the line somewhere stealing the pressure. Swapping out heads that use less water? Yep that could do it too. Maybe use smaller nozzles in the Rainbirds or make them all MP's.

Multiple zones getting activated when running 1 zone

Disconnect all but one of the suspected wires from the controller. Turn the station on. See if the voltage goes down the wire and back up one of the disconnected wires. I'm assuming it does. Yep, sounds like they pounded a stake through the wires. They have wire tracers that can find nicks in the wiring but you'll need a pro for that. If it's not too difficult, maybe run a new bundle of wires.

What on Earth is this horrible sound?

LOL Sorry to laugh but that's not normal at all. Could be a pressure regulator is turned down too low. Could be a lot of things. You'll have to look around and locate the problem. Look where the water enters the house. Look where the water exits the house. I'd just stop watering until it was fixed if I was you. The landlord has to fix that by law. If he doesn't then you can hire someone and take it off your rent. You'll have to look up the laws where you live. You might have to wait 30 days. Jus...

Multiple zones getting activated when running 1 zone

The wires are touching somewhere. Do any digging lately? Or pound stakes in the ground? Look where the wires exit the building or anyplace the wires are exposed.

42sa adjusting issues

Are you turning the screw down far enough? How short of a throw are you trying to get? Rotors are designed to cover long distances. But this video shows a fairly short distance for a rotor. I rarely see a Rainbird installed so I don't adjust them often. I've probably adjusted Hunter PGP's 100 times more than the Rainbird rotors. But in the video it looks like an excellent close in spray. Maybe you need a smaller nozzle.
