System Re-start After 6 Years, Tune Up, 6 Year Issues

In the first video the seal is worn out and replacing it was the right thing to do. The second video you've bought Orbit sprinklers. That's not my first choice. Or second or third. I prefer the Rainbird 1800 series. That's what the old sprinkler is. It takes about 20 years for a seal to get that bad. Be careful to not buy Rainbird sure pops just because they're less money. You might have gotten some debris in the new sprinkler. It looks like it's popped up enough to seal. It's just a crappy spri...

One zone operates regardless of which zone is selected

Disconnect the number 3 wire from the controller and start a zone. Does number 3 still come on? Do you have a master valve?

Burst Pipe??

Video It's a fairly simple job. There are a variety of videos. Look around. If you have enough pipe to work with you'll only need one coupler. If you need to splice in a piece you'll need two couplers and a piece of tubing. My advice on getting the coupler onto the pipe is, rock it back n forth pushing as hard as you can without bending the pipe.

1 zone won't pop up completely

I'm not convinced it's fixed. Time will tell. It might stop working soon.

Running two zones simultaneously

Just hook the wires together. Supposing you want zone 6 and 8 to run at the same time. Just move the 6 wire and combine it with 8 at the controller. I know the I-Core has many features. There might be a way to program it to run two zones at once. You'll have to read the manual. Something in the back of my mind is telling me I heard that it can run two stations at once. hmm. I'll read the manual. Well I sped read it. It says you can run up to 5 valves at the same time in manual mode. I didn't see...

How Can i find repair kit???

It says 1" on that cap but that doesn't mean the adapter's 1". Could be 3/4. The pipes below make it look like 3/4. Either take it with you to an irrigation supply store or post another pic showing the threads of the valve adapter after you unscrew it.

Water coming through pipe under Sprinkler

There's a good chance it's only leaking out of one head. It just means it's a slower leak. If it's coming out of two or more heads there's more water getting past the valve. Some valves are easy to repair, some aren't. If you want to give it a shot, post a pic of the valve. Go to www.tinypic.com, upload your picture there then cut and paste the "forum" code to your post. I'll give you my advice if you should call someone or not. Just call a sprinkler guy and not a plumber or a gardener or landsc...

Water coming through pipe under Sprinkler

If it's a 24 hour a day leak then the valve which runs that are needs serviced. Water can't get to the sprinklers unless it gets past the valve.

How Can i find repair kit???

You wont find a rebuild kit for that valve. It's a crappy valve anyway. Just replace the whole black part. What's the valve doing or not doing? Maybe the screw that holds the seat washer in place broke off. If so, flush it out. Just unscrew the cap in pic two then unscrew the whole black part. Buy the appropriate sized valve adapter and replace. It looks like a 1" but verify. It's a 5 minute job. Just be careful while unscrewing not to break the plastic pipes underneath. Use two wrenches. There ...

Irritrol 2500 not shutting off

Is that valve on a drip line? Try disconnecting the timer wire to that valve. Is the controller sending a partial signal to the valve while the time is off? Maybe it's time to replace the valve with a 2500.

Irritrol 2500 not shutting off

The 2400 diaphragms wont work in a 2500 valve. The center hole is larger. Will that cause it to leak? I don't think so but it wont work electronically. At least it wouldn't last time I tried it 20 years ago. I'd make sure there's no debris in the solenoid and make sure the solenoids are snug in the off position. The seat guide wont cause it to leak either. It could be cracked and it wont leak. Look closely at the seat for pits. Small ones can be sanded off. They're excellent valves, no need to s...

Hardie 700 series 2 inch valve leaking from under valve bonnet, around cylinder shaped breather piece

I've messed up the brass threaded part by over tightening it. The the brass part just spins and wont tighten and it leaked. I fixed the problem by putting a screw all the way through the hole and tightening with a nut. If you have a pair of channel locks, put them on the valve to tighten it a bit to see if the leak stops. The 700 series can be very frustrating. I had one last summer that took me 6 tries to get it on there right and I know what I'm doing. I taught myself a new trick but I don't r...

Multiple zones running

It sounds like two valves are wired together. Also there might be a loose connection somewhere. I'd check all the wiring and redo all connections.
