Better yet, read through the entire
Tutorial before you get started. It's not the easiest of reads. There is lots to read, and it was written by an Engineer (and we engineering type are not always known for our communication skills). So some of the stuff will be a little confusing (took me quite a while before I could understand what was ment as he tries to explain the difference between a double check valve and a double check backflow preventer).
Don't guess when you can measure.
General design question
I'm trying to determine GPM design capacity and working pressure PSI. I have rural water. My water meter is 5/8". The meter is located 1/4 of a mile away. The meter is connected to a 2" line. That line connects 3 hydrants along the 1/4 mile route and it connects my 1" house service line as well. My sprinkler system will be connected to the 1" line. I have 60 PSI from this 1" line.
