It sounds like those zones are using too much water to allow the backflow sufficient pressure to stay seated. Either increase the water or decrease the amount of water those zones are demanding.

Backflow Preventer Spewing Water

I have two zones in my irrigation system where when the system runs, the backflow preventer will spew water out from below the bonnet, I have 4 irrigation heads on the zone. I have replaced the guts in the febco 765 backflow preventer and yet it seems to do it only on two of the zones as its running. I have 10 zones and it only seems to do it on those two. Is it a case of lack of water for those 4 heads or am I getting too much water and need to adjust the flowrate on those heads? Please advise if you can, thank you!
