The controller is far down on the list of possible culprits. A valve problem is most likely, and the wiring also bears consideration.
It sounds like the ground wire to the backyard is disconnected--
Sometimes the water supply to the backyard sprinkler valves gets turned off without you knowing about it. The controller itself is probably ok.
Replace or Repair?
Hi There, I have an old Imperial Valet Contoller. It worked fine until last season when the sprinklers in the back yard stopped turning on. They worked fine in the front yard. I would rather fix this system than replace it. Can anyone tell me what might be happening?
Thanks so much[
