I also prefer the Hunter Pro C. For 6 Zones it is a great controller. The Rainbird controller would have been fried by lightening also. I am partial to the rainbird valves though, I am not straight one manufacture.
Rainbird does not have a remote control or the solar sync that are great options for a low cost. In my opinion the Hunter Pro-C for the money is the best 6 zone clock out there.
Yes no worries.
P.S. I like Hunter better than RainBird. I believe it's from a time when I used to see a lot of rainbird controllers going haywire. They've since cured the problem. RainBird's an excellent controller.
valve compatibility with new controller?
We have a Hunter system with 6 valves.
Our Hunter ICC got fried with a lightning strike.
I see a lot of recommendations for going with RainBird.
If I get a RainBird controller, should my valves be compatible?
