There are other Hunter controllers to select from. The Pro-C would a choice of pros, and their XC series could save you a few bucks, at the cost of some features you might not miss.

replacing Hardie 4000 irrigation control box from the 80's

I need to replace my Hardie control box 4000 because it does not work anymore. I see a discussion where the Hunter SRC-600 is being proposed as a replacement. The only Hunter control box that I see on the market now is the Hunter SRC Plus Controller. Can this one replace my old one? Or is there another recommendation? I have only two zones for sprinklers.
